[h2]description[e]

lists every slot a given [code]pkg_name[e] resolves to right now: one row per raw port directory declaring that name (its effective slot -- raw [code]pkg_slot[e] plus any enabled [code]pkg_slot_use[e] suffix -- and [code]pkg_pref[e]), PLUS any db-only slot that's actually installed but that current USE config no longer produces (a [code]pkg_slot_use[e] port only ever shows one slot from its own directory scan -- whichever composition is active right now -- so a previously-installed, now-stale slot is folded in separately from the db so it still shows).

each row is tagged [code]installed[e] and/or [code]auto-picked[e] (the single lowest-[code]pkg_pref[e] candidate among ones a real port directory actually currently produces -- matching exactly what a bare [code]mp install <pkg_name>[e] would resolve to via [code]find_portdir[e]'s own tie-break).
